Kenston will offer all OSDA high school and middle school events plus Big Questions Debate on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Speech (except extemp) will be asynchronous. A student may enter as many asynchronous events as they want and also still do extemp or debate!!! Ribbons will be awarded to first-sixth places.

Registration will be held from 7:45-8:15am. Judge instructions will begin promptly at 8:30pm. Extemp prep, extemp debate prep and policy debate will also begin at 8:30am with other categories starting by 9:00am. We will hold four rounds of all speech and debate events (except policy debate, which will have three). Awards are planned for 3:15 via a link that will be provided.

Cut-off for drops is Wednesday, December 16 at 9pm. You are responsible for paying the entry fee for any drops after this deadline. Speech video links are due Thursday, December 17 at 9pm so we have adequate time to test the link. Please remember that your middle school entries should be entered via your middle school team SpeechWire account.

Congress results will be based on judge's preference. High School Congress will use the Dec. 19 OSDA docket. Middle School Congress will use the following five pieces of legislation from the OSDA Middle School docket: 2, 3, 5, 7 & 11. LD & HS PF will use the NSDA Nov/Dec topics. MS PF will use the Ohio middle school Nov/Dec topic. For Big Questions Debate, please enter two-person teams if at all possible.

Judge requirements: one judge for every 1-5 speech, for every 1-8 congress, and for every 1-2 for each type of debate. If you don't enter enough judges, your entries will be dropped. Please enter email addresses for your judges because we will be using electronic ballots.
