2020 Olmsted Falls Kiwanis Tournament
You are invited to the 2020 Olmsted Falls Kiwanis Tournament
Date: December 5th, 2020 (Asynchronous judging for speech will begin Wednesday through Friday evening)
Registration from 7:45 am to 8:15 am
Where: Speechwire and NSDA Campus
How?
We are going to be "live" on NSDA campus and speechwire for debate and extemp, and final rounds of speech.
The first 3 rounds of speech will be posted on Wednesday morning and the judges will have until Friday evening to enter their results for their assigned rounds. On Saturday, we will have LIVE/SYNCHRONOUS finals. Based on numbers we may run finals and semi-finals.
Cost: $5.00 per competitor
Entry fees will be paid to Cleveland District
JUDGES:
IE/Speech: 1 judge per 5 entries
PF, LD, and Policy: 1 judge fore every 1 or 2 teams
Congress: 1 judge to cover your Congress entries
DEBATE:
L/D will use the November/December Topic
PF will use the November/December Topic
Policy will use the 2020-2021 Topic

* We will be hosting Middle School Extemp Debate.
* The deadline for the asynchronous videos will be Tuesday by 6:00 pm (we will be checking to make sure links are accessible to anyone it is very helpful if coaches do this prior to submitting) There were a few videos in the wrong event and many videos that we had to track coaches down because the settings wouldn't allow judges to view them last week.
* Judging will open Wednesday at 3:00 pm
* You will still need speech judges on Saturday as we will be running 3 judge panels for finals and extemp is still a live event with 3 rounds and a final.
* Final rounds for Dec, Drama, HI, Info, OO, POI, Duo will be flighted and we are playing with the idea of using Zoom so that students can observe the finals rounds like they would at an in-person tournament.
*UPDATE: MS Speech will be asynchronous only and will not have live rounds of speech events.
