We would like to welcome you to the Metea Valley David D. Scheidecker Memorial Speech Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, January 30th, 2021.   Our tournament structure is currently slated to be a HYBRID structure  - all Prelim Rounds will be asynchronous rounds, and Final Rounds will be synchronous Zoom Rounds.

We will try and mirror what the IHSA expectations and guidelines will be, once those are determined and announced.

GOALS:

to forward - now more than ever - society’s need for competent and confident public speakers,
to hold valuable the effort and talent it takes to be successful in the world of public performance,
to make sure that we celebrate the camaraderie and lifelong friendships that participating in high school Speech creates,
to recognize the effort, sacrifice, and leadership that are demanded as students end their season and/or careers,
to provide feedback in determining and sharpening your team’s postseason endeavors, and
to acknowledge the resiliency and resolve we all have shown this Speech season!

ENTRY:
There are no limits on entries per event. Coaches can triple-enter students; however, students should not be entered at other tournaments on Saturday, January 30.
