Welcome the first ever T-Town Swing co-hosted by Tulsa Community College and Northeastern State University

This will be our frist experience hosting a Hybrid tournament with Syncrhonous and Asyncrhonous options and we are excited to host you virtually at our tournament this year. We have been working hard to make this tournament something where your team can participate and have a great deal of fun. T is the theme of the tournament so look for topics, questions, and quotations to deal with our theme because what would a forensics tournament be if we could not have some quirky fun this year?

We are going to be hosting Synchronous debate formats Friday through Yaatly and then Saturday and Sunday we will host Asyncrhonous Individual event competition with Synchronous Award Ceremonies for our wonderful competitors Saturday and Sunday at 3:00 PM CST. We might not get to decide how many claps we are going to do at awards but rest assured, we will be clapping for you live in front of an audience. Our debate formats will be IPDA and Lincoln-Douglas Debate, on a relaxed schedule starting at 10:00 AM CST Friday.

Tournament Registration is Monday September 21, 2020 by 5:00 PM CST. Upon the closing of registration, each coach with limited prep entries will receive an email with the topics for impromptu and extemp. We are working to ensure that our tournament will be one that is accessible for both the competitor, coach, and judge so we will have a few rules that will need to be followed by each team in order to make sure that happens. Those will be found in your welcome email to this event upon your registration. We look forward to seeing your Asyncrhonous videos Wednesday September 23 by 12:00 pm CST so we can sort, schedule, and build the rounds of competition. This will ensure a smooth process for registration and scheduling.

Again, we are super happy to have you at our tournament.

Thank you,

John Mikolajcik and Katie Thomas
