Whitnall High School is proud to host our
PRE-STATE FORENSICS TOURNAMENT
SATURDAY, APRIL 4
 
 
Greetings Coaches & Friends!
We are pleased to invite you to our WHSFA tournament, but we welcome WFCA teams as well.
 
Registration: Complete registration through SpeechWire. This is the only way to register, so be sure to register at www.speechwire.com. Each individual entry is $10 and $15 for each group entry.  The deadline for registration is Monday, March 30 at 3:00 PM.  If changes need to be made after that time, please email them to bvoelkel@whitnall.com. Of course, drops are discouraged, but if you need to report a drop, email them as soon as possible.
 
Schedule:
7:30 – 8:15 Registration
8:30 Extemp. and Radio draw in the Library Resource Center
8:45 Students’ meeting in the cafeteria/Judges’ meeting in the District’s Community Board Room
9:00 Round I
10:00 Round II
11:00 Round III
The Power Round will start as soon as possible
2:30 Awards
 
Awards:
The top three speakers in each category will receive trophies—finalists will receive medals.
The top two large school (entries of 20-30, based on total points),
top two medium schools (entries of 10-19, based on quality points), and
top two small school (entries of 5-9, based on quality points) teams will receive trophies.
 
 
Judges:
Every school must provide one judge for every 5 entries or portion thereof.  Please make every effort to bring your own certified judges.  NOTE: If you cannot find a judge, we will hire one for you at a cost of $150 per judge.
 
Food:
Food will be available for purchase in the cafeteria for students.
 
Special Needs:
Do you have a student with special needs?  If so, please include a description of any accommodations that need to be made by emailing Beth at bvoelkel@whitnall.com.

Parking for Buses and Vans:
Buses should load and unload at the school's main entrance, right in the front of the school.  Buses can park in 
the south lot, next to the tennis courts or in the back of the high school.
 Vans can park in any of the spots available.

Directions from northbound I-43: Exit on Layton Avenue.  Turn right onto 116th Street. Turn left into the driveway next to the digital sign.
Directions from southbound I-43: Exit Hwy 100/45.  Follow signs for Hwy 100 south. At the first stoplights, turn right onto Edgerton Ave.  At 116th Street, turn right.  Turn right into the driveway by the digital sign.
