World Schools Motions

We will be posting the motions for impromptu rounds here. 

Round 2 will be announced at 11:30 a.m. (round begins 12:30)                                                                        "This house would cancel “cancel culture” 

Round 4 will be announced at 3:30 p.m. (round begins at 4:30 p.m.)                                                                 "This house should provide Incarcerated persons.priority access to Covid 19 vaccinations."

Semis will be announced at 10:30 a.m. (round begins at 11:30 a.m.)

This house would allow corporations to build innovation zones.

Info slide: Innovation zones are corporate-owned land parcels granted by the state to competing technology companies with innovative technology. Within these zones, companies have comparable powers to city governments. Corporations within innovation zones pay taxes, as well as an additional fee on new technology developed within the zone. Corporations also have the ability to collect taxes from citizens choosing to live within the community. 

*Reminder, even though we are online this year, we are still expecting students to follow the NSDA rule about prohibiting online evidence in impromptu rounds. 

Also, judges please use the 100 point speaker scale, keeping scores between 90 - 100. 

Motions for prepared rounds:

Round 1 - This house regrets China’s investment in Latin America

Round 3 - This house would end international adoptions.

Round 5 - This house supports providing legal rights for nature as an effective strategy for environmental conservation.

Finals -  Florida should require all law enforcement officers and vehicles to have body and dashboard cameras,
