Tri-City United Invitational (CANCELED)
General information This information is from a tournament in a past season! This is a High School tournament in Minnesota. View manager contact information Tri-City United Invitational 2016: Saturday February 6th, 2016 Registration begins at 7:00 a.m., draws start at 8:30 a.m., and Round I will begin at 9:00 a.m, Round II at 10:30, and Round III at 12:00. There will be three rounds with no finals. We will use all 13 MSHSL categories, and follow those rules, including time limits. We estimate that awards will begin at 2:00 p.m. There will be a concession stand available to students throughout the morning and over the noon hour. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for coaches and judges in the judges' lounge. If you need to reach us for any reason on the morning of the tournament, please call Tournament Manager Amy Alberg at 320-287-1819. We recommend that you send no more than six entries per category. The cost is $7.00 per entrant. Checks can be made to Tri-City United. Double entries will be allowed, except in Discussion. Duo Interpretation is $7.00 per group. Judges: You will need to bring one judge for every six (6) entries or fraction thereof. Please make every effort to provide the required number of judges based on your entries prior to drops. One team coach should also consider assisting in the tab room. Entry Deadline: Please submit your initial entries by Friday, January 29th, 2016 on SPEECHWIRE. Please make necessary drops/adds by 7:00 am the day of the meet on SPEECHWIRE, or call or text me at 320-287-1819. Other MSHSL competition info: Storytelling draws are from the first 10 stories. Draws for Extemp. Reading Prose will be from the first 15 selections. Draws for Extemp. Reading Poetry will be from the first 20 selections. Discussion Tasks will follow the recommendation of the MSHSL and come from: State Topics (I. Youth/High School). Busing: Please drop your students off at the Main entrance to the high school. Team camps can be made in the Commons. We hope to see you on the 6th!
