As we quickly approach Littles, Norton Speech and Debate invites you to a quick and friendly "three rounds and out!" Please note the details below, and contact Tricia Pletcher with questions: tpletcher@nortonschools.org, or 330-322-0383.
Date: Saturday, January 30, 2016
Events: 3 rounds of Individual Events, 2 sessions of Congress, 4 rounds of LD & PF -- *We don't plan to offer Policy due to space constraints, but if there is high demand, we could try to get creative.
Location: Speech--Norton High School, 4108 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd. Norton, OH 44203 POI and Extemp: Norton Primary School (just across the parking lot from the high school) **There is no Wifi at the primary school location
Debate and Congress--Norton Middle School, 3390 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd. Norton, OH 44203
Lunch: lunch will be served at Norton Middle School and Norton High School. Due to limited space at the High School, we ask that debaters eat at the Middle School.
Shuttle: provided after lunch from Norton Middle School to Norton High School
Registration: Please register via Speechwire. We will accept as many entries as we can; however, we have small buildings and may need to restrict entries.
Schedule:
Registration--7:45-8:15
Extemp Draw--8:30
Judges Meeting--8:45
Round 1--9:00
Judges:
Speech--1 judge covers 5 entries
Debate--1 judge covers 2 entries
Congress--1 judge covers 1-5 entries
Fees:
No team fee, no tech fee
$3.50 per student
$20 dropped judge fee
Those are the basics--more specifics to come as the date gets closer. We look forward to seeing you at Norton High School for (hopefully) the last time! We're building a new High School!
