Welcome to the first Middle School debate event of the Dallas ISD school year! We are happy to invite new ("Beginner Division") Middle School debaters to the Jesuit MS Beginner Workshop on October 10th.

It will run from 800am to 230pm, featuring workshops and a practice round to introduce students to debate. This workshop will focus exclusively on the Beginner files - we have limited space, so we will prioritize registration of students who are new to debate.

A few logistical details:

Location is Jesuit College Prep, which is near the intersection of 635 and the Tollway.
Bus requests are due September 18th to satransportation@dallasisd.org - use a rough estimate for number of students here.
Registration is due on Friday, September 25th - this is a firm commitment on which students you will bring.
Coaches will be expected to participate - both as classroom facilitators (details forthcoming) and judges for the practice debates.
We are not recruiting volunteer judges for this tournament - Jesuit is recruiting several to supplement our existing judge pool.
We've capped the number of teams each school can enter at 5 - but you should enter every team that is interested in participating. After the registration deadline passes, we will take students off the waitlist as we have space.
