Hammer Speech Meet
General information This information is from a tournament in a past season! This is a High School tournament in Nebraska. View manager contact information Hello All!! I am excited that it is finally speech season! It has come quickly, but none-the-less it is here! Mark your calenders for Saturday Januaray 24, 2014. We are holding the Hammer Speech meet that day. My first meet I have held, so it should be fun and interesting.
First off, registration is due on Monday January 19th by 6:00 p.m. No adds or changes in billing due to drops will be done after that. Entry fees are $7 per event. One judge should be provided for every 6 entries or $8 for every uncovered slot.
There are something’s different from last year. We are only having the 9 NSAA events for the meet. We will have team awards for Novice and Varsity; it might only be a certificate, but I enjoy seeing when our team finishes. Here is the schedule for the day:
7:00-7:45 Registration (at the Performing Arts Center aka the PAC) 7:45 Announcements in The PAC (Drops, adds, and moves) 8:00 Flight A - (HP, Poe, Per, Ent, OID) 8:15 Extemp Draw 9:15 Flight B (SP, Extemp, Info, Duet) 10:30 Flight A round 2 10:45 Extemp Draw-Round 2 11:45 Flight B round 2 1:00 Flight A Finals 1:15 Extemp Draw-Finals 2:15 Flight B Finals 4:15 Awards (in the PAC)
When you register your kids on Speechwire pay attention to what division they go under. The default setting is varsity, so if you are entering a novice, you will have to choose the drop down choice.
