Dear Speech Coach,
You are invited to Richards High School on January 17, 2014 for the Richards Saturday Morning Smackdown
STRUCTURE: Three prelims and a final. Events will be staggered into four rounds. First round will begin at 8:00A.M.
ENTRY: You may enter up to 4 speakers in each event. If you would like to request more entries please contact sean.harrigan@chsd218.org
JUDGES: 1 Judge per 7 entries.
FEES: $175.00 per team with 2 per event.
$200.00 per team with 3 per event.
$225.00 per team with 4 per event.
Please make all checks payable to Harold L. Richards High School.
AWARDS: All finalists will receive awards. Top five teams will receive a trophy. Team Awards Based on Prelim Points
RULES: Radio – PREP ONCE FOR PRELIMS. SPEAK TWICE IN PRELIMS. PREP FOR FINALS.
Extemp – PREP ONCE FOR PRELIMS, SPEAK TWICE TIMES IN PRELIMS.PREP FOR FINALS.
Time – Only in radio as per IHSA rules.
Entry Deadline: Will let you know when we have an idea of space. We can only accept responses from the first 20 teams. Please make entries on Speechwire.
