NYC Debate Club Boot Camp #1

Institute of Collaborative Education

On behalf of the New York City Urban Debate League and the Institute of Collaborative Education, you are cordially invited to the NYC Debate Club Debate Boot Camp on October 11, 2014 for a day of exciting, fun and intense debate excitement.

Are you a new school joining the NYCUDL? Students not ready to debate at the first tournament? Teachers interested in additional professional development in debate? The NYC Debate Club Boot Camp is the place to be.

Participants will have an opportunity to engage in workshops for both coaches and students to learn the fundamentals of debate taught by veteran debate coaches/instructors.

Coaches and debaters will have the opportunity to observe debate rounds at the NYCUDL #1 taken place the same time as the Boot Camp.

The Institute for Collaborative Education is a proud member of the Old Stuyvesant Campus Complex located at 345 E. 15 Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues, with the I.C.E. Main Office on the 5th Floor in Rm 513.

BOOT CAMP SCHEDULE

SATURDAY - OCTOBER 11, 2014

8:30am – 9:30am – Breakfast and Registration

9:30am – Registration ends

10:00am – Noon – Debate Instruction

Noon – 1:00pm – LUNCH

1:00pm – 3:00pm – Debaters/Coaches observe debates at the NYCUDL #1 tournament

3:00pm – Dismissal
