Dear Speech and Debate Coach,

The Bulgarian English Speech and Debate Tournaments Foundation (BEST), in conjunction with the USA's National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) and the American University in Bulgaria (AUBG), invites all high school students to register now for the 2015 BEST National US-Qualifier Tournament. The tournament will be held 21-22 March 2015 at AUBG in Blagoevgrad. Team check-in will take place from 2-3 PM on Saturday, March 21. MANDATORY Judge Training will take place from 2:30-3:30 PM at AUBG on Saturday, March 21. The competition will begin at 3:30 PM on Saturday, March 21 and end by 1 PM on Sunday, March 22. Please refer to the schedule for more details.

In order to participate, teams must show proof of NSDA membership and fee payments, and participating students should show proof of having participated in either the Lovech or Pazardzhik BEST Tournaments this year. Students can compete individually in Oratory or in teams of two in Duo. Students who do not make it to the Semifinal Rounds in Duo or Oratory may join Prose and Poetry in Sunday morning for a chance to win those events. All participants will be in ONE division (Varsity). Detailed explanations and rules for each event are outlined in the Events Overview page. Winners will receive medals, certificates, and local media publicity.
