DEADLINES
Please register via Speechwire.com no later than 4:00pm, Monday, February 23rd. A registration confirmation will be emailed out after registration closes. Coaches can also view up-to-the minute fees on Speechwire.com.

RULES
In years past, our tournament has been attended by an even mix of schools from both major Wisconsin associations. Speech Bowl will employ the most current WFCA Handbook Rules. WHSFA teams are sincerely welcome and strongly encouraged to attend.

EVENTS
Demonstration, Duo, Extemp, Farrago, Four-Min, Group Interp, Moments, Impromptu, Oral Interp, Oratory, Play acting, Poetry, Prose, Radio, Solo-Serious, Solo-Humorous, Special Occasion, Storytelling. *Note, impromptu will be run as a regular event, not as a consolation event.

BUILDINGS
We use four academic buildings which are all in the same corner of campus. We have "ballot drops" at each building to help our judges, multiple judge lounges, and we'll assign judges to rounds in one or two buildings maximum to limit their range. Ballot drops are located in the Hyland Hall Lobby, Winther Hall Lobby, and Heide Hall room 100.

ENTRIES
There is no team cap or tournament cap on total entries. A school’s top 25 scoring entries will count toward Team Sweepstakes awards. A school's top four entries in an event will count toward Team Sweepstakes but more than four entries per event are welcome. Double entries are allowed. Students in Radio, Extemp, and Impromptu are allowed to double enter, but students in Radio and Extemp should compete in those respective events first in a given round. A student cannot double enter in both radio and extemp, but can double enter with radio and impromptu, or extemp and impromptu.

ENTRY FEES
Individual Entries: 9.00; Playacting, Duo, Group Interp 12.00

JUDGES
Each school is required to supply one trusted judge for every five entries, or portion thereof. For example, fifteen entries require three judges. Sixteen entries require four judges. Uncovered entries will be charged an additional 12.00 per entry. For example, two uncovered entries will be charged 24.00. This is an alternative to a flat hired judge fee and it will likely save your team some money.

PAYMENT
Please make checks payable to "Jim Disrude, UW-Whitewater Forensics". Checks processed after the tournament can be mailed to UW-Whitewater, Jim Disrude Heide Hall 402, 800 W. Main St., Whitewater, WI 53190.

CHECK-IN
On tournament day, please confirm no later than 7:00am by texting 608-780-4637. Checking in via text on tournament day is essential for a smooth start to the tournament.

JUDGES LOUNGE
The lounges, open to all judges, coaches, and bus drivers, are located in Hyland Hall and Heide Hall. Coffee and soda will be available in the lounge, but due to campus catering policies, we cannot offer a free lunch to judges. Please plan accordingly.

AWARDS
Individual trophies will be presented to the top three competitors in each category. Medals will be awarded to all other championship round and semifinal round participants. Team sweepstakes trophies will be awarded to the top three scoring schools overall in each division. Division size will be determined after registration closes based on the dynamics of team entries.

DROPS
Teams can and should manage their own drops on Speechwire.com until noon, Friday, February 28th. After that point, email drops asap to forensics@uww.edu at your earliest possible convenience.  There is no penalty for drops received by noon, Friday, February 28th. Entries dropped after that time will still be charged. Day of tournament drops are strongly discouraged and please impress on your students the magnitude of challenges that last minute drops have on tournament logistics. Please text last minute drops with student names and events as soon as possible on tournament day to Jim Disrude, 608-780-4637. No adds will be accepted on tournament day under any circumstances.

FOOD
Boxed lunches will be available for purchase by competitors, coaches, and judges in advance of the tournament. Lunch orders must be received by 4:00pm, Monday, February 23rd via email to forensics@uww.edu. Be sure to specify the quantity of each type of boxed lunch (Turkey, Roast Beef, or Veggie). Boxed lunch includes a sandwich (either Turkey, Roast Beef, or Veggie), chips, fruit, and a soda. The cost is $7.00 each. Unfortunately, changes cannot be made to the boxed lunch order after that date/time because the catering order is locked in with campus catering.

There are no off-campus dining options within walking distance of Hyland Hall. We strongly encourage teams to stay on campus during the day. Due to University dining contracts, we cannot offer concessions at the tournament, therefore, boxed lunches can only be ordered in advance. On tournament day, boxed lunches will be distributed at the University Center, located next to Hyland Hall. Teams should plan on eating lunches at the University Center.

If your team is bringing lunches or having lunches delivered, please eat lunches at the University Center.

PARKING
Bus and general parking is available without penalty in Lots 7 & 9, behind the blue-roofed Visitors Center on Starin Road directly across from Hyland Hall. We suggest getting picked up Lot 2 which is next to the Irving L. Young Auditorium. Please let your bus driver know.
