West Chicago Novice Tournament
General information This information is from a tournament in a past season! This is a High School tournament in Illinois. View manager contact information Greeting Coaches!
I understand there is a need for some novice action this coming month and nowhere to have it. Therefore, like Nathan Detroit in Guys n' Dolls, I will be hosting a floating novice tournament this November 9th, at West Chicago Community High School. We would like to have a novice tournament with three prelim rounds and no final. Ideally, we will be done shortly after 1:00-1:30pm. Exact schedule and break downs to follow. Please note, this is not an attempt to pull teams from other tournaments, but simply an opportunity for schools that have no place to send their novices or are sitting on a waiting list. I would like to open this up to any team wanting to participate and cap novice entries at two per event. I need to make sure that there is the interest and numbers before I can grant anyone a third entry. You can request but no promises. So, please enter your acceptance and numbers as soon as you can. As this is a shorter notice for a tournament, I will not have a ton of time to prepare things in the building so the sooner the better. Nevertheless, rest assured, you will still be greeted warmly, treated royally and be involved in some good novice competition. Entry Fees and Judge Expectations are as follows:
Fees: 1-14 Entries $100 15-28 Entries $150 29-42 Entries $175 Send all checks to: Paul Lichy
Community High School Make the checks out to: The West Chicago Speech Team
Judges: 1-7 Entries 1 Judge 8-14 Entries 2 Judges 15-21 Entries 3 Judges 22-28 Entries 4 Judges Over 28 Entries 5 Judges
