Thank you for choosing the Forest Lake Speech Tournament - the R.C. Streeter Classic! We are happy that you and your team have decided to attend. Our tournament will be offering competition in all 13 MSHSL events. NFL rules will be followed in Drama, Duo, Humor, Original Oratory, and Extemp. Speaking. Below you will find much of the information that will make your participation more enjoyable.

Entry Deadline: Wednesday, Feb. 15

Drop Deadline: Friday, Feb. 17 (All entry fees will be set on this date.)

Site Scheduling:  Please note that we will be site scheduling this tournament.  Please make every effort to update your entries by Friday evening.  You will receive an up-to-date entry list on Saturday morning when you arrive.  Make any Drop/Adds right away so that we may schedule round 1 in a timely fashion.

Entry Fee: $6.00 per entry. Double entries will be allowed in all events, except Discussion. Each team will be responsible for bringing one judge per every six entries or fraction thereof.

Draw Event Information: Extemp. Reading will be using stories 1 -12 and poems 1 - 25. Storytelling will be using stories 1 - 10. In all draw events students will have a clean draw for all rounds.

Discussion Information: We will be using area II of the Discussion outline (Political Issues).

Tournament Schedule: 7:30 Registration 8:30 Draws for Round I 9:00 Round I: All events 10:00 Draws for Round II 10:30 Round II: All events 11:30 Draws for Round III 12:00 Round III: All events 1:00 Lunch 1:45 Final Postings (Staggered Start Times) 4:30 Awards (Awards will be given to the top 12 students in each category - 7 in the final round and 7 in the honor final round.)

Concessions will be available throughout the day for students. A well stocked and staffed hospitality lounge will be available for judges and coaches.
