Hello! This is my updated paradigm for:

FFL VARSITY STATES - I am judging for the first time, but I have somewhat experience in debate due to friends & family (only when it comes to lay debate, NO TECH).

TRUTH>tech:

I am a LAY judge. Treat me as the layest judge ever. I will only judge off of substance, please do not run any progressive arguments on me (no K’s, no theory, NO trix) I will not evaluate them in the round. If you believe your opponent is violating a rule in round, bring it up in speeches, I do not know how to evaluate theory so explain the rule violation the simplest you can.

Please do not spread, as I am a lay judge. Treat me as you would any lay judge. Spreading will lead me to automatically not flow any of your speeches. Speak at a pace understandable to the lay person.

I highly value respectful debaters, and ones with good arguments that are able to properly explain and defend well in cross/throughout speeches.

Please be respectful to your opponents and if I see the opposite of that in round, it will be evident in your speaker points.
