I competed for two years in collegiate debate, primarily in British Parliamentary (BP) and International Public Debate formats. My experience has shaped me to value clear, logical argumentation and strong comparative analysis above all else.
I evaluate rounds strictly based on what I hear in the debate. I do not fill in gaps for you, and I will not assume arguments that are not clearly extended, weighed, and impacted in the round. If it is not explained and warranted, I cannot vote on it.
Clarity matters. I am comfortable with a quick pace, but if your delivery sacrifices comprehension, it will hurt your ability to persuade me. Debate is about persuasion, not just speed.
I prioritize logical structure, clash, and comparative weighing. If both sides present strong arguments, my decision will come down to which team does the better job of weighing impacts and providing a clear mechanism for how I should evaluate the round. Tell me why your impacts matter more, why they happen sooner, or why they outweigh in magnitude, probability, or principle.
