Fellow Ragers,

We are so excited to invite you to our second annual Rage on the Bayou on October 12 & 13 in Lafayette, Louisiana! We will be swinging here on the campus of University of Louisiana at Lafayette. We have an alligator habitat in the middle of campus and tons of great music, amazing food, and good times around town. So, obviously, you should probably come on down. Further, we will be inviting students and coaches from our vibrant local high school circuit to visit on Sunday to take in a little collegiate competition, and we encourage you to share information about your experiences and schools during the lunch break.

Both tournaments will offer all 11 Individual Events in accordance with AFA-NIET rules and descriptions. Awards will be given to the top 6 competitors and the top novice in each event, the top 3 quadrathon phenoms, and the top 3 schools for each tournament. Additionally, we are hoping to  test out Speechwire’s online ballot option, so bring your laptops and smart pads if this intrigues you. If not, bring a pen and we’ll hand you them there paper ballots.

Please register for both halves at speechwire.com by 5:00 PM CST on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. Early check-in for the tournament will be held the lobby of Burke-Hawthorne Hall from 6-8 PM on Friday, and we’ll update the location for Saturday and Sunday check-in on the schedule and via Speechwire the week of the tournament. We are full of a joyful rage and can’t wait to see you all on the bayou! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email Chas, womelsdorf@louisiana.edu.
