Dear Speech Coaches:

 

The Battle Lake Lions Club and the Battle Lake Speech team invite you to Battle Lake Lions Club Junior High Speech Invitational at Battle Lake School on Monday, Feb. 11.  This competition is for students in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade, in all 13 MSHSL categories.  Senior high students are welcome to judge. Awards will be three team trophies, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals, 4th and 5th place ribbons, and red and blue ribbons. Discussion will start 15 minutes after the beginning of each round, so students can double enter. 

 

Schedule: 

3:30 pm         Registration

4 pm Round 1 - draw categories, please come prepared

4:15 pm         Discussion

5 pm              Draw for Round 2

5:30 pm         Round 2

5:45 pm         Discussion

7:15 pm         Awards in auditorium - please, no food or drink in the auditorium

 

Cost:  $5.00 per entry.  Double entries allowed.  Please make checks payable to Battle Lake Public School.

 

Registration:  Registrations, including all drops and adds, are due on Fri., Feb. 8 at 5 pm. Changes after the deadline will cost $5.00 per drop/add.  Please register on Speechwire.com.   This tournament will accept a total of 280 registrations. 

 

Judges:  1 judge per 6 entries regardless of subsequent drops.  Senior high students welcome to judge.
