Dear Speech Coach,
On behalf of the Bloomington Speech Team and the Bloomington Friends of Forensics, I cordially invite you to the 49th Annual Bloomington Speech Invitational on Saturday, February 23, 2019.
Our tournament will feature online balloting and critiques with all MSHSL categories as well as POI and impromptu. We will once again split IX and DX as separate categories for extemproneous speaking this year.  We will break to regular and honor finals in all events and individual awards will be presented to all finalists and sweepstakes awards to the top three large team and top small team entries.
We are pleased this year to once again be an NIETOC bid tournament.  If our registration numbers allow, we will break to extra final rounds in the NIETOC categories.
We look forward to seeing you on February 23!

We will honor both MSHSL and NSDA rules.  All thirteen MSHSL speech events will be offered.  All non-draw events will be allowed a time limit of TEN MINUTES. For a copy of MSHSL rules, go to the MSHSL website at www.mshsl.org.

All NSDA events will follow NSDA rules. Please visit the NSDA website at www.speechanddebate.org for rules.  Since we are an NIETOC bid tournament, students in poetry and prose will be allowed to compete in the drama category.
