Date: Saturday, February 9th, 2019

 

Day of registration will run between 8:00 am and 8:30 am. Last minute changess should be texted to (252) 622-9238 if they are known prior to arrival.

Resolutions:

Public Forum - Resolved: The United States should end its arms sales to Saudi Arabia.

Lincoln-Douglas Debate - Resolved: The United States ought not provide military aid to authoritarian regimes.

 

Student Congress: Student Congeess legislation should remember the following information in regards to submission:

  • Congressional debate entries must be submitted no later than 5:00pm Wednesday, January 30th, 2019.
  • A school that enters competitors in the Congress division is required to submit at least one piece of appropriately formatted legislation.
  • Legislation is tied to the student and not the school. Thus, each competitor may submit one piece of legislation. No competitor may serve as the author of more than one piece of legislation. 
  • Legislation must be submitted to Michelle Boswell at dogwoodlegislation@gmail.com no later than 5:00pm Wednesday, January 30th, 2019.
  • Legislation will be posted no later than Monday, February 4th, 2019.
  • In order to expedite the release of the legislation packet, the League has adopted templates. They can be found on the website.
