Welcome coach, we look forward to seeing you at the Warhawk Pow Wow. Extemp and Radio Preps will begin at 8:00 am, and we will run two flights of staggered rounds - one will be double judged - and two flights of finals, with awards scheduled to begin at 2:30 pm.  Concessions will be available throughout the day in the cafeteria.

All 14 Illinois Speech events will compete at both the Varsity and Novice levels with awards for the top six individuals in each event.  We will also have 5 team trophies - the "Scout Award" will go to the team with 14 entries or less with the highest sweepstakes score. The "Warrior Award" will go to the team with 24 entries or less with the highest sweepstakes score, and the top three "Chief Awards" will go to the top three scoring sweepstakes teams regardless of the number of entries.

Registraton fees are:  $100 for 14 entries or less;  $125 for 15-25 entries, and $150 for 26 or more entries. (Capped at 42 right now)

We will also have celebrity judges involved in the final rounds - for example, a local DJ wlll be one of the three final round judges in radio. The kid he picks as #1 will get a special "judges' award" whether or not they finished first in the event overall. The point being, we want to encourage kids to be involved in speech.
