Day of registration will run between 8:00 am and 8:30 am. Last minute changess should be texted to (252) 622-9238 if they are known prior to arrival.

Resolutions:

Public Forum - Resolved: Deployment of anti-missile systems is in South Korea's best interest.

Lincoln-Douglas Debate - Resolved, In the United States, national service ought to be compulsory.

Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate - Resolved: Civil disobedience in a democracy is morally justified.

Policy Debate - Resolved: The Unted States federal government should substantially increase its funding and/or regulation of elementary and/or secondary education in the United States.

 

Student Congress: Student Congeess legislation should remember the following information in regards to submission:

  • A school that enters competitors in the Congress division is required to submit at least one piece of appropriately formatted legislation.
  • Legislation is tied to the student and not the school. Thus, each competitor may submit one piece of legislation. No competitor may serve as the author of more than one piece of legislation. 
  • Legislation must be submitted to Michelle Boswell at dogwoodlegislation@gmail.com no later than noon Wednesday, October 11, 2017.
  • Legislation will be posted no later than Monday, October 16, 2017.
  • In order to expedite the release of the legislation packet, the League has adopted templates. They can be found on the website.
