The Southern and Northern Atlantic Forensic Union cordially invite you and your students to attend the 2017-18 SNAFU Season.    SNAFU tournaments are part of swings either with an additional SNAFU tournament or with the host school; both tournaments will take place at the host school.  At all of our tournaments we will offer all 11 AFA events at both halves of the swing, as well as Parliamentary Debate on Sunday.  In addition, we will offer novice breakout round in an event if the entries are warranted at SNAFUs 1-4. The entry for all tournaments are due by Wednesday before the tournaments by 5:00pm (EST). What follows is information that should make your trip to the swing easier to plan:

2017-18 Season:
October 15 SNAFU 1 @ West Chester University
October 29 SNAFU 2 @ Seton Hall University
November 11 SNAFU 3 Charity Ball @ Northern VA Comm College, Loudon Campus
November 12 SNAFU 4 Charity Ball @ Northern VA Comm College, Loudon Campus
January 21 SNAFU 5 @ Northern VA Comm College, Alexandria Campus
January 27 SNAFU 6 @ UNC Charlotte
January 28 SNAFU 7 @ UNC Charlotte
February 25 SNAFU 8 @ Nassau Comm College

Membership fees:  $300.00, the uncovered slots will remain the same.  SNAFU hasn't increased the membership fees since the beginning of the organization and the board felt like it was time to make the increase so we could continue making the impact on the forensic community in the form of well run tournaments and scholarships at the end of the season.

Sweepstakes points:  we will follow the awarding of sweepstakes points laid out by the AFA-NIET.  6 points for 1st place, 5 points for 2nd place, 4 points for 3rd place, 3 points for 4th place, 2 points for 5th place, 1 point for 6th place and any remaining place after that
