Dear Speech Director,

We would like to invite you and your students to the 26th Annual Ogallala Speech Invite on Saturday February 18,2017 at  Prairie View Elementary/Middle School. The address is 801 East O.  This will be a Varsity and Novice contest.We will be awarding 1st though 6th place medals in all NSAA events in the Varsity level and 1-4 in Novice  We will also be awarding superior ribbons on all events.

Price: $6.00 in all IE entries and $7.00 for groups

All students may enter as many events as they can handle, as long as they are not late for rounds.

  For every six entries you must provide a judge or pay $70.00.  I would love to have a surplus of judges rather then the money, as we always seem to be short of judges.

 As you can see we are using a new online registration program,  you will enter all of the information needed to complete your entry through is site: SpeechWire, which will electronically generate invitation material and email it to me and to you. Everything for this tournament will be done online.

All tournament entries are due on Thur. Feb. 16^h. You may make adjustments through Friday morning. We need to start finalizing sections numbers and judge’s assignments at this time.

There will be a concession stand for you and your students.

7:30-8:00 Registration

8:00- Round 1, Flight A: OID, Entertainment, Serious Prose, Persuasive

8:15- Round 1 Extemp. Draw in the Library

9:15- Round 1, Flight B: Duet Acting, Humorous Prose, Informative Speaking, Extemp. Speaking, Poetry

10:30- Round 2 Flight A

10:45- Round 2 Extemp Draw

11:45- Round 2, Flight B

1:00 Flight A Finals

1:15 Extemp Draw for Finals

2:15 Flight B Finals

3:30 Start Awards

I am excited once again to host the Ogallala Invite, this will be my last one, I will be retiring after 42 years of teaching and coaching. It has been wonderful working with all of you.
