Dear Speech Coaches,

Brainerd High School invites you to its second annual Speech Invitational on Saturday, February 18, 2017.

 

This is a high school tournament but it will take place at Forestview Middle School:

 Information:

The events include all thirteen MSHSL standard categories plus POI. 

 

There will be three preliminary rounds and a final round.

 

Fees -- Registration fee is $6.00 per entry.

Judges --Each school should furnish one judge for each 6 entries or fraction thereof.

 

 

There is a LIMITED number of judges that will be available for hire at a rate of $85 each on a first come-first served basis.

 

If you have 6 entries, you are responsible for 1 judge. If you have 7-12 entries, you are responsible for 2 judges.

 

Divisions-Varsity, but all are invited to compete

 

Registration-7:30-8:30am

Rd 1 Draw: 8:30

Rd 1-All Events: 9:00am

Rd 2 Draw: 9:50 am

Rd 2-All Events: 10:20

Rd 3 Draw: 11:10am

Rd 3-All Events: 11:40

Final Rd Draw: 1:15pm

Final Round-All Events-1:45pm

Awards: 3:30

 

Awards will be given to the top competitors in each category and division and excellent and superior ribbons will also be awarded. 

 

We have pizzas for preorder only. Schools who do not order pizzas will be responsible for bringing their own food.

 

Pizzas are $12.00 apiece. Please let me know how many cheese, pepperoni and sausage pizzas you wish to order by Wednesday, the 17th. Due to the size of the order, I will not be able to make changes after Wednesday. Pizza orders can be paid for in cash or check, but please keep this separate from the registration fee.

 

We will have a nicely-stocked judges' lounge.
