Dear Speech Coaches, 

 

The Browerville/Eagle Valley Speech Team wishes to invite you to the 1st Annual Tiger Invitational. We have previously hosted a meet at Eagle Valley but we are excited to now be using the Browerville School, which we give us more room! We would be thrilled to have your team join us for an enthralling day of competition. 

 

We will be offering all thirteen categories. Team awards will be given to the top three schools. Team trophies will be calculated in the following manner: each contestant will contribute to their team's score, then divided by their number of entries. Therefore, the small teams have just as much a chance as the large ones. There will be 3 rounds and finals.

 

Medals will be awarded to the top three finalists. All other finalists will receive a finalist ribbon. Superior ribbons will also be awarded. 

 

If your coaches are not judging, we would love your help and assistance. Please let us know in an email. seckel@browerville.k12.mn.us

 

The registration deadline will be Saturday, February, 18th. Please enter the names of your contestants and their category(s). Double entries are accepted. The registration is $6.00 per entry. All add and drops must be received by 12:00 p.m. Friday, February 24th—after this you are financially responsible for any additional changes. Please bring you payment with to the meet. Make checks payable to Browerville Public Schools. Please provide 1 judge for every 6 entries. If you wish to hire judges from us, we will need to know ASAP. We will do our best to accommodate. The cost will be $90 for each uncovered judge. 

 

Concessions will be available as well as the Coffee Club. Food will be provided for all judges and coaches. 

 

* Please unload by the gymnasium doors.

*Judges' meeting will be at 8:15 am in the science rooms. 

*Round one begins at 8:45 am with discussion beginning 15 mins later. 

* Note: draw categories should come prepared for round 1.
