Dear Speech Coach:

What: McGregor Mercs Firefighters’ Speech Invitational

Where:           McGregor High School

When:            Saturday, January 28th, 2017

                        Registration begins at 7:30 A.M. outside the High School office.

                        Draws begin at 8:30 A.M. in the High School Media Center.

                        First round begins at 9:00 A.M. for all events.

                        Awards should be presented about 2:15.

Format:         Three straight rounds.

Awards:         Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in all events and ribbons for

                        4th - 6th places.

Cost: Registration is $5 per entry. (Each duo pair is one entry)

Judges:         Please provide one judge for every six speakers, or a portion

there of.  I will have a very small judge pool to get judges from. Let me know ASAP if you need a judge.

Double-entering:    Students are allowed to double enter if they are not in discussion, but you must pay the fee for each event. Dramatic duo pairs count as one entry.

Concessions:         We will have hot dogs, candy, pop, etc. for purchase.                                                 

DEADLINE:  You must have registered on Speechwire by 3:30 P.M. on Wednesday,

January 25^th. Your will be able to do your adds and drops online via Speechwire Saturday morning until 8:00.

We have a new entrance that will bring you in by the auditorium. There is a new large parking lot there. Please park there and come in door 10 by the auditorium. These are the only doors that will be open.
