You are invited to the Blue Valley Northwest Debate Invitational to be held Saturday, October 22, 2016.

We will host Varsity, JV, and Novice divisions in policy. In addition, we will host an open division of Student Congress.

We are pleased to announce that we are KSHSAA/ MSHSAA sanctioned to host DKC high schools. All policy divisions will use 8-3-5 time limits. We will use the 2016-2017 NSDA policy topic.

There are no entry fees. First priority will be given to Blue Valley and DKC member schools; however, we will try to accommodate as many entries from other schools as space allows.

There will be five rounds of competition in each division. BVNW will provide team medals up to the top 16 teams in each division, depending on size. Rankings will be determined by: 1) win/loss record, 2) speaker ranks; 3) speaker points. Any unbreakable tie will be decided in our coach “Thunderdome”; however, we do reserve the right to cancel “combat” and award additional trophy(s) to the effected students instead.

All results electronically; however, we will make all ballots accessible to coaches during the tournament. All KSHSAA rules will apply.
