Resolutions:

Public Forum - Resolved: On balance, the benefits of the Internet of Things outweigh the harms of decreased personal privacy.

Lincoln-Douglas Debate - Resolved: The United states ought to limit qualified immunity for police officers.

 

Student Congress: Student Congeess legislation should remember the following information in regards to submission:

  • A school that enters competitors in the Congress division is required to submit at least one piece of appropriately formatted legislation.
  • Legislation is tied to the student and not the school. Thus, each competitor may submit one piece of legislation. No competitor may serve as the author of more than one piece of legislation. 
  • Legislation must be submitted to Zach Becker at dogwoodlegislation@gmail.com no later than noon Wednesday, November 2, 2016.
  • Legislation will be posted no later than Monday, November 7, 2016.
  • In order to expedite the release of the legislation packet, the League has adopted templates. They can be found on the website, but for ease they have also been posted to Speechwire.
