Bishop Noll is happy to offer our "asynchronous" tournament for 2020!

 

We will offer all IHSFA events except Discussion and Impromptu. We will also be offering Declamation for Novice Only. All other events will be both Varsity and Novice. 

 

There is NO FEE for this tournament. Bishop Noll is happy to pick up the tab! But we will not be sending ribbons or team trophies 5th-2nd place. We will, however, be sending the winning school the first place trophy. We are happy to offer our first, which we hope to be annual, Ed Hreha Trophy, honoring a recently retired member of our school community. 

 

Students may enter as many events as they wish, so long as you provide the judges! We do cap teams at 4 entries for each event. (A team may have 4 entries in novice poetry and 4 entries in varsity poetry, for example.) We will also cap the overall entry at 40 entries. Feel free to reach out if you would like an accommodation. 

 

We are asking for one judge per 5 entries. (4 entries = 1 judge / 11 entries = 3 judges, etc.). Please provide qualified judges; no student judges are allowed. Depending on numbers, your judges may judge your students. 

 

Broadcasting and Extemp information will be posted by end of day, Wednesday, October 20. 

 

As far as dress, we are embracing the "come as you are" guideline, so long as it would be appropriate attire for your school day. Judges will be told to disregard dress in judging. 

 

We are asking that your entries (an unlisted Youtube link) be uploaded by midnight, Monday, November 2. Judge ballots will be pushed out Tuesday afternoon. We ask all judge ballots be completed by Friday, November 6 at midnight. Rankings and placings will be released Saturday, November 7 at 8 pm CST. 

 

I ask for your patience during this process as it is new! Feel free to bombard me with questions, I will answer as quickly as my school day allows.
