Fulton Steamer Speech Tournament (CANCELED)
General information This information is from a tournament in a past season! This is a High School tournament in Illinois. You are formally invited to the return of the Fulton Steamer Speech Tournament (I tried to come up with something clever, my kids shot it down. But what can ya do) Come join us in the land of windmills and wooden shoes on January 18, 2020 at Fulton High School. This will be my first year hosting a speech meet, so bear with the craziness. I promise we will all make it out of this intact, for the most part. There will be more information forth coming so keep an eye out for that as things get closer. Standard meet guidelines apply. All 14 events, 2 rounds, varsity and novice and the usual finals round for varsity only. Radio and extemp will prep once for pre-lims (approximately 7:45) and once for finals. Awards will follow finals as quickly as we can get them there (we all now how that goes!) Tournament Fees will be as follows, you may bring it that day or send it in advance, whatever you so choose. 1-14 entries = $100 15-25 entries = $125 26 + entries = $150 Please be sure to have one judge for every five entries. Right now we are keeping things at double entries only, I will consider triple entries just shoot me an email and we can discuss. Entries will be capped at three per category, same rules apply, I will consider additional entries just email me and we can figure things out. There will be full concessions as well as a hospitality room for coaches/judges/drivers. Not sure what we are planning on food wise just yet, any suggestions or dietary restrictions can be sent my way to allow proper planning! There will be a coach’s meeting/judges meeting once we all land here, plan to be here about 7:15 just in case weather is an issue. We are hoping to get this meet going as quick and painless as can be so you can all enjoy a nice Saturday night and hopefully avoid any snow/freezing rain/horrible weather that seems to plague us the most during this stretch of the season.
