Dear Junior High Speech Coaches:

We are pleased to invite you to our Annual Otter Risers Kiwanis Invitational on Tuesday, February 19, 2019.​ This is a junior high meet​, accepting students in grades 7­-9 and will be held at the Kennedy Secondary School building. We will be having two rounds. We will schedule competition in all 13 categories, with all DRAW categories coming with their first round speech prepared​.

 

Registration is in the cafeteria foyer, which can be easily reached if you unload your buses in the Friberg Avenue Parking Lot​(across from InVision Eye Care). Because the student body dismisses at 3:20, there will be major congestion in the parking lot starting at 3:15 until about 3:40. Please do not pull your buses in to unload and park until after that time. If you arrive sooner, you could have them go to the Armory lot, farther south on Friberg. This will also be a good place for the buses to park during the meet.

 

Please register your speakers by 4:00 PM on​ Friday, Feb. 15, 2019.​

 

Fees:​$4.00 per entry made payable to ISD 544.​ 

 

The free drop/add deadline is 12:00 PM on Monday, Feb. 18. Please plan to pay for drops and adds after that time.

4:15 Round 1­­ All categories (All draw categories come with Round 1 prepared)

5:30 Round 2­­ All non­draw categories speak

*Draw categories draw in Media Center starting at 5:12

*Round 2 draw categories begin speaking at 5:42

7:00 (or thereabouts) Awards announced in the cafeteria

 

*** a reasonable number of double­ entries will be allowed

*** no limit on entries, but PLEASE bring a judge for every SIX entries​, not
