**THIS MEET STARTS AT 8:00 AM, WITH AWARDS PROJECTED FOR 3 PM**
 
**SPEECH, DEBATE, CONGRESS, IMPROV DUO!**
 
REGISTRATION:  I will accept registration on Speechwire through Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 9 PM. If you THINK that you'll be attending our meet, PLEASE mark that "you will attend" on Speechwire. I want to have a ballpark number for my food vendors. Doors will be open for registration at 7:00 AM.
 
CONCESSIONS: Pizza, snacks, and drinks for sale 
 
JUDGES/COACHES LOUNGE: Soups, Salads, drinks, and afternoon snacks
 
EVENTS: All IHSFA Speech Events + LD, PF, WSD, and Congress
 
ROUNDS: 3 Rounds and a Final of 6 + Next-In Final if event is 20+ entries
 
DOUBLE/TRIPLE RULES: Competitors may triple if one of their events is Improv Duo. Discussion MAY double (just not triple) in any event except IX/USX. Duos CAN double in OP, as long as the partners remain the same.
 
ENTRY LIMIT PER TEAM: 45 Entries
 
JUDGES: 1 judge for every 5 entries or fraction thereof. If you're bringing debate competitors, please plan on bringing folks willing to judge debate :)
 
CONGRESS: Bills 3, 5, 7, 9
 
RADIO: Choose any 2 artists from the same genre for your newscast, commercial for Arby's. Write a two-minute editorial on online shopping. OTS will take place during Round 3.
 
DISCUSSION: All necessary material for discussion will be POSTED ON SPEECHWIRE in a Word doc on Sunday prior to the meet. Each discussion will last up to 40 minutes. 
 
EXTEMP: Will draw for rounds 1 & 3. Competitors will give round 3 speech in the final. 
 
IMPROV DUO: Competitors will have 5 minutes TOTAL to prepare and perform an improvisational duo with a given topic. 2 chairs provided. Competitors MAY touch/make eye contact. 
 
SCORING/AWARDS: 
 
1) Tabulation will be "clean slate" (final round scores determine placement). 
2) Teams may bring up to 45 entries. Team Sweepstakes scoring will combine speech & debate.
3) Tab will use following scoring: 1st: 12 pts, 2nd: 11 pts, 3rd: 10 pts, and so on...
4) We will award the Top 5 teams with plaques
5) Top 12 competitors in each event will be awarded
