You are cordially invited to the Stow –Munroe Falls Invitational Speech and Debate Tournament to be held, Saturday November 10, 2018. All events: Policy, Lincoln-Douglas, Public Forum, Individual Events and Student Congress will be offered. We have limited space so early applications will be attended to first.

Tentative Time Schedule: 

                IE Registration will take place in the library (lower level) 7:30-8 am (If you only have debate you may register in your respective buildings)

                                Holding area will be the commons, upper level. at the HS,

                LD/Policy Registration: the lunch room at Lakeview for LD and  Policy,

                 PF and Congress Registration: in the lower lunchroom at Kimpton Jr. High

                Policy will begin at 8am with 3 rds of competition

IE,LD,PF will begin at 8:30 ( we will begin sooner in debate if all teams arrive early enough)

4 rounds of competition

Student Congress will have 2 sessions December OHSSL legislation

Session I    8:30am

                                Sesson II   TBA

Venues:               Individual Events :  Stow-Munroe Falls High School (the commons will serve as the  holding area)

Debate Events:  Kimpton Junior High School  for PF and Congress (lower level commons will serve as the holding area)

                                Lakeview Middle school for LD and Policy

Entries:                 We encourage you to register up to 3 entries in IE, and up to 4 entries in debate. However,we will try and accommodate more entries if we can provide the spaces.

 

Registration:      We will accept registration up to November 8 at 3:00pm –If space permits.  Deletions past this deadline will be counted as drops. No refunds for dropped competitors!

 

Extemp Prep:    At this time extemp prep will be held in room 231. ( please check day of the tournament for any changes.) Extempers should go to extemp prep and stay there preparing for round 1.

Round 4 will feature cross-examination

FEES:                     This is determined by individual: $ 4.00 per person

Awards:               Trophies, medals , pins and certificates will be awarded to 6th place in Speech, LD, PF; 

                                Congress top 3 per chamber; Policy top 4.

 

LUNCH:             Will be purchasable at the high school. ( We have been able to offer some lunch items at Kipton and Lakeview, but there should be time to get lunch at the High School)

 

Topics:                  LD, PF, Policy Will debate the NSDA topics. ( LD /PF the November-December topic) Congress: November OSDA Packet
