LPDL #2 is on Friday, November 10th. The tournament will be hosted at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. Thank you Paige Russell, Judy Santacaterina and NIU for your hospitality.

        

The tournament will be a six round tournament (as entry permits). If there are not enough teams registered in the tournament for 6 preliminary rounds, we will have 4 prelims with Bronze/Silver/Gold Finals immediately following the prelims. Once registration closes on Wednesday, coaches will be notified of any schedule changes due to the size of the tournament.

11:30- Registration (Location: Watson Hall)

Noon  --   ROUND ONE

1:10 --  ROUND TWO

2:20    --   ROUND THREE

3:30    --   ROUND FOUR

4:40    --   ROUND FIVE

5:50    --   ROUND SIX

7:00    --   AWARDS 

 

Tournament Registration:

Please go to www.speechwire.com to submit your entries for the LPDL at NIU on November 10, 2017. Registration for the tournament and workshop are due: Wednesday, November 8, 2017 by 5:00pm.

 

Tournament Fees:

$50.00 yearly membership fees.

$10.00 for each covered team entered into the tournament portion (each judge covers 2 teams).

$50.00 for each uncovered team entered into the tournament portion.

 

LPDL TOURNAMENT REMINDERS:

LPDL does not allow access to outside sources during prep time (electronic or otherwise). 

LPDL does not allow intrasquad interaction or coaching during prep time. 

LPDL encourages highly respectful debate that encourages the education of all competitors. 

As per the LPDL Constitution, if the tournament size permits, there will be 6 prelim rounds with no final. Awards are based on preliminary standings only. If the tournament size does not permit, there will be 4 prelim rounds with a Final rounds that allow for the most amount of students to participate without advancing more than 50% of the field.
