Glenda Ward Novice Invitational

We are excited to have you at the Glenda Ward Novice Invitational. Please send me names of student judges (150 points) you are bringing to judge. Also, please provide me your cell phone number. I would also like to let you know we willtake extra entries as space allows. Dear Coaches and Team,
The Cassville Speech and Debate Team would like to invite you and your students to compete at the Glenda Ward Invitational NOVICE Speech and Debate Tournament Friday, December 1st through Saturday, December 2nd.
One judge per school is the minimum required. Anyone wishing to judge must have achieved the rank of Excellence (150 NSDA points). Students may double enter in IE’s and enter one debate. Students entering Congress may not enter any other individual event.
We will offer the following novice events: Student Congress, Domestic Extemp., Foreign Extemp., Original Oratory, Humorous Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, Prose/Poetry Reading, Storytelling, Live Radio Speaking, LD, PF, and Policy Debate.
We will offer concessions. There are multiple locations to eat in town: McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Subway, Taco Bell, Sonic, China Express, Oriental House, Sunrise and El Mariachi.
The entry deadline is 3:00 p.m., Monday, November 20th. This is important because of the Thanksgiving Break. You will need to register on Speechwire.com. Create an account, enter your students in, and assign them to the events. You will need to enter them in the order that you want them to be in, ie the A spot needs to be your A spot person. Please feel free to call us if you have any questions concerning this program. Confirmations will be emailed by Tuesday, November 26th, 2017. Please realize that if the tournament is full, you will only get drops after that date. Please return entries as soon as possible, to ensure opportunity for extra entries based on order of arrival. Fees will not be waived for cancellations made the week of the tournament. Please submit the names of judges you will bring.
