Dear Speech Coaches:

 

You and your students are invited to attend the 2017 Luverne Cardinal Junior High Tournament!  We are excited about hosting and look forward to having you!  All JR High (7-9th grade) students are welcome.  Trustworthy, upperclassmen veteran speech students may be used for judges.  

 

Our school day finishes at 3:00 for high school (the biggest rush), and then 3:15 for middle school.  You are welcome to arrive earlier than the 3:15 registration time, but realize traffic will be a bit chaotic as we have all 3 buildings (Elementary, Middle, and High School) all on the same campus.  Please have busses drop off students by the canopy on the east side of the building.  Use the northern entrance off of Hwy 75 to access the canopy.  If you do arrive early, your students will be directed to the cafeteria where they can wait until the building clears out more.  Discourage them from looking for rooms until about 3:20.

Schedule:  3:15-3:45    Registration in Lobby (Please call or text last minute drops to 507-220-2590)

3:45 p.m.  Draws for Round I

4:15 p.m. Round I   All Events

5:00 p.m.  Draw Round II 

5:30 p.m.  Round II   All Events

6:45 p.m.  Round III All events (Draws repeat Rd.1 or Rd. 2)

8:15 p.m.  Awards!

 

Registration:   You may bring as many students as you like and double entries are NOT ALLOWED. 

Judges: Please provide one judge for every 6 entries or fraction thereof.  I am doubting I will have judges available for hire - please send a separate email to me if you are needing to hiring one.  There will be meal tickets for coaches/judges.

Fees: $6.00 per entry.  Duo pairs $12.00.  Make checks payable to Luverne Speech.

Concessions:  We will have pizza, hot dogs, pop, candy and other things available.
