It’s a chilly winter!  So Muskego High School invites your Forensics Team to our          

                “Warm Up” Forensics Festival - Saturday, Jan. 21st!  

We are extending a warm welcome to you to compete at what could be the first competition for many this season!

Where:  Muskego High School

               W183 S8750 Racine Ave.

               Muskego, WI 53150

               (Enter at the main doors/Door #1 along Racine Ave.)

Registration:  We’ll be using SpeechWire for registration.  This is the ONLY way to register for our  Festival.  To register your team, visit:  www.speechwire.com

                    A fee of $9.00 for each individual entry and $12 for group

                    entry (Duo, Group Interp, Play Acting).

                    Entry fees are per entry, not per student. Fees will be based

                    on your confirmed entries.

Due to other events happening at our school, we have a very limited amount of space - this will be a small festival - meaning this will be capped...

Once it's full, we will not be accepting any more teams.  

This is a Single Entry Festival - No Double Entries.

PLEASE NOTE...When registering your 6min speakers, please register them in 4min!   We will be combining 4min and 6min speakers in the same rounds!  Students will be critiqued WITHOUT regard to whether they are doing a 4-min or 6-min speech.

Deadline:  You must register via SpeechWire by Wednesday, Jan. 18th by  5:00pm.

After that point, email drops to Joseph.Meinecke@muskegonorway.org

at your earliest possible convenience.  Entries dropped after that time will still be charged.   Day of tournament drops are strongly discouraged.

ABSOLUTELY NO ADDS WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER THE DEADLINE OR DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT

It will be a 3 round day with NO POWER ROUND (this means a shorter day)!

We will be using WHSFA critique sheets for scoring, but also asking judges to provide a rank in each round for all students!  

Awards will be based on the POINT total from all 3 rounds (not rank):

Large Medal:     70-75 points

Gold Medal:       60-69 points

Silver Medal:      50-59 points

Bronze Medal:    Below 50 points

Judges:  Schools must provide one judge for every five

              (or fraction thereof) entries.  A limited number of hired

              judges will be available at a cost of $150 each.

              Also note:   judges do not need to be WHSFA certified

Food:  Snacks will be available for purchase in the cafeteria.

Schedule:            Registration   7:30-8:15

                    Extemp, Radio draw/Library  8:30

                    Student Meeting in the Cafeteria  8:30

                    Judges Meeting in Room 243  8:30

                            Round 1, all events  9:00

                            Round 2, all events  10:15

                            Round 3, all events  11:30

Awards will be handed out at a designated table outside of Room 243
