KANSAS INDIVIDUAL EVENTS STATE TOURNAMENT

January 27, 2016

Dear Colleagues:

Bethel College would like to cordially invite you to the Kansas State Individual Events Tournament —KASIE— to be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016. The tournament will include all eleven AFA-NIET events. The final round of Persuasive Speaking will determine the Kansas representatives at the Interstate Oratorical National Contest, which will be held at the University of Nebraska, Omaha on April 22-24, 2016.

Entries should be submitted no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, February 15. Entries can be made on Speechwire.com. Fees will be assessed as of noon, Wednesday, February 17, after which no refunds will be given. Any entries dropped on or after Thursday, February 18, will be assessed a $5 dollar per entry nuisance.

Lunch will be provided by the tournament.  Please notify Mallory Marsh at mmarsh@bethelks.edu of any dietary restrictions your competitors, coaches, or school judges have no later than Monday, February 15.  We will do our best to try to accommodate these restrictions; however, if we are unable to do so, there are many food options within a five-minute drive of Bethel’s campus.

We look forward to hosting a weekend of classy and educational competition!

Sincerely,

Kenny Hopkinson

KASIE President
