ENTRIES Register all entries as Varsity via SpeechWire. There is no limit to how many entries a team may have, however, no more than 4 entries in a particular category will count toward your team score. You will be able to manage your team entries via SpeechWire until Friday at noon. After that, please contact Kirt Graves at kirt.sheboygannorthforensics@gmail.com. If any member(s) of your team and/or coaching staff have special needs (mobility, elevator requirements, etc.), please contact Kirt Graves so appropriate accommodations can be made.
DOUBLE ENTRIES We will accept double (not triple) entries. Draw categories (Radio & Extemp) may not double enter.
STUDENT CONGRESS Student Congress registration will be done separately. Visit the congress registration page to enter your students and judges. Each school should bring at least one qualified judge, but we welcome additional judges. Please submit legislation via email to Kirt Graves at kirt.sheboygannorthforensics@gmail.com no later than Tuesday, March 1.
RULES All categories will be contested employing WFCA rules. Rule violations will be addressed by the tournament director. Please consult www.wfcaforensics.org for category rules. (The exception is Oratorical Declamation, which will follow NCFL rules.)
FEES Entry fees are: $9 for individual entries and $12 for entries in Play Acting, Duo and Group Interp. A limited number of hired judges will be available for $100 each. Teams will be responsible for all competitor & judges fees for drops made on Saturday morning.
JUDGES Each school must provide one competent judge for every five student entries or portion thereof. (For example, a team with 12 entries should provide three judges.) Please choose judges wisely. Regardless of student drops on the day of the tournament, bring the number of judges indicated at registration.
AWARDS Individual awards will be presented to the top three contestants in each category. The remaining finalists will receive medals. Team sweepstakes trophies will be awarded to the top 5 large teams (21-25 entries, total points), the top 3 medium teams (13-20 entries, qualitative avg.), and the top 3 small teams (5-12 entries, qualitative avg.).
FOOD Concessions and meals will be available for purchase in the North High Commons throughout the tournament. Please plan to eat lunch at North High, so final rounds are not delayed.
MORNING CHECK IN Please call/text Kirt Graves at 920-287-1207 or Ben Kroll at 414-688-2817 the morning of the tournament to confirm that your team is on its way and to report any adds/drops. If your call does not go through or you do not receive a text confirming that your text was received, please keep trying! (Anyone who works in an older building knows what I mean.)
REGISTRATION Registration will be held in the North High Commons starting at 7:30 a.m. Rounds are scheduled to begin at 8:45 a.m., but that start time is dependent on schools calling/texting in in the morning.
