Pipestone Arrow Tournament
General information This information is from a tournament in a past season! This is a High School tournament in Minnesota. View manager contact information Welcome to the Pipestone Arrow Tournament! Please have your students registered by Monday, February 15 at 5:30 pm. You may make drops through Friday, February 19 at noon without penalty. Please call in or text drops after that time until Saturday morning at 8:30 to 507-430-0527. If you text, look for a confirmation text from me. We are a site scheduled tournament so it is essential that you update your entries in a timely way Saturday morning. Remember that we offer a final round, so please prepare your students and judges for that. Don't forget- we allow double entries in all categories!

Registration: There is no restriction on the number of entries you may bring. Double entries will be allowed in all categories (including draw categories); however, it is the responsibility of each student to communicate with judges if they are double entered.
Judges: Please provide one judge for every 6 entries or fraction thereof. Judges should be prepared to judge ALL events. There will be very few hired judges available! First come, first serve.
Fees: $7.00 per entry. Duos $14.00. Please make checks payable to Pipestone Area Schools or PAS. Please turn in checks at registration or mail them to Pipestone Area Schools, Attn: Monica Sullivan.
Concessions: We will have a variety of concessions available that day.
Awards: Awards will be given to the top 6 students in each category as well as sweepstakes trophies.
Draw Intervals: A few years ago, the MSHSL rules for draw intervals for all draw categories changed. All draws will take place at 8 minute intervals. Please remind your judges that students should be allowed their full 30 minute prep time before speaking.
Draws: We will use all selections for Extemp Reading- Prose and Poetry and Storytelling.
Time Limits: This is the first year of increased time limits in most categories. In order to keep the tournament running on time, I will be asking judges to stop students who approach 11 minutes in the 10 minute categories. Please be sure your students are aware of this! Additionally, I will be stressing that judges do all they can to keep rounds running on time.
Parking: Students may be dropped off at the high school (east) entrance, also known as the circle drive, or the middle school (west) entrance. Buses may park in the lot to the east of the gym. Students may leave personal items in the commons or in the auditorium.
Entry Deadline: Please submit your registrations via SpeechWire no later than Monday, February 15 at 5:30 pm. If you are having difficulty submitting entries on SpeechWire, send your entries to me via e-mail or fax and I am happy to add them-- if you submit entries to me this way, do not assume you have registered until you receive confirmation from me. Drops and adds may be made to registrations up to Friday, February 19 at Noon without penalty. No adds may be made after that time. You may continue to drop students after that time, but you will still be charged for your entries as of Friday.
