Hello all! We are hosting our sixth annual Columbus Scotus Forensics tournament on Saturday, January 23, 2014!

We will be using SpeechWire to tab the meet. All entries must be submitted through SpeechWire.  The deadline for drops and adds will be January 19 at 4:00 PM.  Students may be triple entered; however, we encourage OID and Extempers to only double enter.  There will be awards for Triathlon and Top Novice, as well as and standard finals awards.  Please submit your entries early and often, and if you have any changes post deadline, email me as soon as you know of them.  We are not capping any events, but please keep in mind that if you are bringing a large number of entries in events, your students may end up hitting.

The general meeting and commons area will be in our cafeteria.  Please arrive and unload at the Memorial Hall doors (east side of the school, middle of the block). This is also the entrance for parents. Extemp draw begins shortly after registration, so please make sure your Extempers are ready to go so we can start our tournament on time.

Schedule:
7:45 AM Registration (Memorial Hall Entrance)
8:15 AM  Extemp Draw Rd 1 (60 Minute Prep)
8:25 AM  General Meeting (Cafeteria)

12:45 PM  Flight B Round 2 (HI, DI, POE, ENT)
1:45 PM Extemp Draw Finals
2:45 PM Finals
4:30 PM Awards (Memorial Hall - Above Cafeteria)

Full concessions will be available all day.  We will have items ready for sale immediately upon arrival until the beginning of awards. Please remind your students to keep all concessions in the cafeteria and not to take food or drink into classrooms. (Water is allowed.)   A hospitality room will be available for coaches, judges, and drivers.

Parking is available for vans and cars around the school building. There is a lot to the north of the school for buses to park after unloading. St. Bonaventure's parking lot may also be utilized for buses. Our activities director will be there to assist with this.

I hope I have covered everything, but you can expect another email the week of the tournament. If you have any questions, please email me at dmasur@scotuscc.org. As I am still somewhat new to hosting tournaments, if you have any comments or suggestions throughout this process of registering and running the meet, I welcome your advice. Even if it is too late for this season's meet, we would like to continue to improve each year!

Now, with that being said, we look forward to the competition and are excited to host our sixth annual Columbus Scotus Forensics tournament!
