Dear Colleagues,

The Michigan Intercollegiate Speech League, in conjunction with Oakland University, invites you

to the 2015 Fall M.I.S.L. Tournament on the campus of Oakland University in the hills of

Rochester, Michigan. The tournament will take place on Saturday, December 12th and will be

housed out of South Foundation Hall. We are looking forward to hosting for the first time in

a while and seeing all of the Michigan teams at the tournament!

The 2015 Fall M.I.S.L Tournament will offer all 11 NFA and AFA Individual Events. Awards will

be given to the top debate school, the top I.E. school and that top overall school.  In addition, we

http://www.oakland.edu/apps/showmap.aspx

From the South: Take I-75 North. Exit at University Drive, stay in your right hand lane and follow

this road into campus.  South Foundation Hall is the large building to your left.  Follow the circle

drive around and park in front of the building.

From the North: Take I-75 South. Exit at University Drive and turn left at the street light.  Then,

follow this road into campus.  South Foundation Hall is the large building to your left.  Follow the

circle drive around and park in front of the building.

If you are traveling from East or West, please get to I-75, as this is your most direct route onto

Oakland’s campus.

Parking should not be an issue as Oakland University does not charge to park on campus.  The

university will have Fall Graduation running on the same day as the tournament but our early

start time and the building we’re using (further away from where graduation takes place) should

allow us to avoid any issues.

Emergency:

In case of emergency, call Campus Police (248.370.3331) or notify Charlie Rinehart

(586.801.3381).

There are a few hotels near campus, but if you’d like/need further information about this please

do not hesitate to contact the tournament director (Charlie Rinehart – rinehart@oakland.edu).
