The Denver East High School Forensics Team and the University of Denver are proud to host the 4th annual Mile High Speech and Debate Tournament at the University of Denver. Please take this as our special invitation to attend the Mile High Tournament at this historic campus. The tournament will take place on Friday, December 4 and Saturday, December 5, 2015.
Denver East High Forensics Team is proud to announce that the Mile High is a Tournament of Champions bid school for the National Individual Events Championships to be held in Denver, Colorado on the campus at our own Denver East High School May 13-15, 2016. The Mile High has been honored to host schools from Alabama, California, Nebraska, New York, and Mississippi. The recipient of the 2014 Mile High sweepstakes champions was James Logan Forensics team coached by Dr. Tommie Lindsay Jr.

Thank you for your interest in The Mile High at the University of Denver Tournament! Here is information on tournament fees. Mile High Fees Duo Entries - 30.00 IE Entries- 15.00 Public Forum Entries - 50.00 Policy Debate Entries- 50.00 LD Entries - 30.00 IE Judging Fees - 10.00 Debate Judging Fees - 25.00 EVENT DROPS AFTER THE DEADLINE INCUR A DOUBLE FEE.
Deadline for all entries is Wednesday December 2, 2015. The website will close at 7:00pm. There is no window for drops after the entry deadline. All drops after the deadline must be made via email to matthew_murphy@dpsk12.org until Thursday, December 3rd. All school drops after December 2, 2015, will incur a double fee, which must be paid to complete the registration process. Coaches with Debate drops on the 3rd must call Matt Murphy (303) 888-1045. Schools are responsible for judge quotas set as of the entry deadline, Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at 7:00pm. It is important that all judge information requested be provided in the judge registration process. Coaches are expected to provide as much information as possible to ensure best assignments. It is very important that all communiqués after the entry deadline concerning registration be emailed as soon as possible. Please make checks payable to Denver East Forensics Team. Denver East HS Forensics Team The University of Denver and the Mile High will provide professionally catered food for judges and coaches over the course of the tournament. All judge assignments are made in the lounge. It is the responsibility of attending schools to ensure that all registered judges are in the lounge: 30 minutes before the start of each round. Registered school judges that miss tournament assignments WILL BE FINED $25.00 PER MISSED ASSIGNMENT.
