Greetings from GlenOak!
Once again, we invite you and your Junior Varsity (Novice) Speakers & Debaters to join us on Saturday, October 24, 2015, for the GlenOak JV Fall Forensic Frolic 2015 on the picturesque GlenOak High School and Plain Community Campus in Canton, Ohio!!!
You will find all of the details of Ohio's preeminent JV speech and debate competition in our Invitation, which is in "Files for Download" on our SpeechWire site! Why? Because, we are too darn lazy to put them into this e-mail!
Our Invitation will be chock-full of useful information such as: Location; Time; Cost; Judge Stuff; Food Stuff; and much more! So be sure to READ our Invitation! We will be using the November/December Lincoln/Douglas Debate Resolution and the November Public Forum Resolution. Congressional Debate legislation will be the same as the Carrollton Todd Casper Novice Tournament. Legislation will be posted to SpeechWire under "Files for Download," the OHSSL website, and the GlenOak Speech & Debate website, and any other website we can think of!
NEW for 2015!!! First, we will adhere to the OHSSL guidelines for the use of electronic devices and the use of the internet in the Extemp Prep Room! At long last, competitive speech & debate starts to enter the 21st Century!!! Second, in order to reduce paper use, we are going to try the "Blast" feature from Speechwire to send postings and judge info! Fear not! We will still have paper postings - just not as many! All registered schools will receive details of Blast.
