Papillion-LaVista South High School cordially invites you to attend the 5^th annual PL South Speech Tournament on Saturday, December 5, 2015.  We will have a flighted tournament, with two preliminary rounds and finals. (Each event will be seen by a total of three judges in the preliminary rounds). Please read over the invitation and e-mail me if you have any questions at lkhicks@paplv.org.

• EVENTS: HI, DI, Poetry, DUO, OID, Extemp, OO, Informative, Impromptu, and Entertainment (NSAA rules for all except DUO, Inform, and POI which follows NSDA rules)
• QUAD ENTRY:  A student may duble enter in each flight, though those in Extemp do so at their own risk, as draw overlaps the previous flight a bit.  
• ENTRIES & FEES: Students may double enter in each flight.  The entry fee is $8 per event.  ENTRIES ARE DUE BY 5:00 p.m. On Wednesday, December 2nd.
• JUDGES: You must provide one adult, qualified judge for every 5 entries.  ANY ENTRY NOT ‘COVERED’ BY YOUR JUDGES WILL COST AN ADDITIONAL $15/ENTRY. Please try to cover with as many UNAFFILIATED judges as possible. If you have a very large entry, and a lot of affiliated judges, I may have to resort to limiting entries which I REALLY don’t want do.  Also, please do not enter a judge with a generic name like ‘Judge X’.  We need to know who the judge is ASAP to make sure we have enough to cover rounds.

AWARDS

Ribbons will be awarded in preliminary rounds for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.  Trophies will be awarded to the champion in each event, with medals for 2nd-6th places (and 7th-12th for those events that qualify for Honors finals).  Team sweepstakes trophies will be awarded to 1st-3rd places.

CONCESSIONS

There will be a concession stand and a judges/coaches lounge available all day. 

PARKING

Busses may want to park in the stadium lot.  Please enter through the front doors and head straight to th cafeteria and/or theater.  Speech students will be there to help direct you.
