Chesterton Debate Invitational
General information This information is from a tournament in a past season! This is a High School tournament in Indiana. View manager contact information 22nd Annual Invitational CHS Debate Tournament December 11th and 12th Dates: Friday, December 11th ,2015; registration from 4:00 - 5:00 pm; 2-3 rounds of competition. Saturday, December 12, 2015; 2-3 more prelims, plus elims in all events.
Location: Chesterton High School 2125 South 11th Street Chesterton, Indiana 46304
Events: Two divisions of Policy: Varsity, and Novice. Surveillance. Three divisions of LD: Varsity, JV, and Novice. Nov-Dec topic. Two divisions of Congress: Varsity and Novice. Bills – To Be determined Three divisions of Public Forum: Varsity, JV, and Novice. December topic World School Debate
Judges: Obligations: - LD: One judge per three entries for LD - PFD/Policy: 1 judge per two teams - Congress: One judge per six Congress entries. Judge Quality: Varsity members who are at least a junior and have over 250 NFL points may judge novice. The coach will be responsible for the quality of the ballots. Please carefully designate high school varsity who are judging. Judging Obligation: Judges must remain 1 round beyond of when your school is eliminated. For example, if your school has reached quarterfinals – your judges are obligated to stay and judge Semifinals Meals: Full meals will be available for purchase Friday evening and most of the day Saturday including breakfast on Saturday morning.
Housing: Please contact Mr. Lowery for information. Fees: Five dollars per entry. A policy or public forum team is one entry.

2014 Schedule
We are attempting to finish the tournament before awards – if it becomes impossible, we will continue our tradition of Awards and then Final Rounds. If entries are less than 18, we will break directly to Semis in that event

· If you need hotel information please just let me know
· Although the tournament will be run utilizing Speechwire – you will NOT register on there, instead you will send all information to Chris Lowery through email
· Novice Policy is restricted to the IHSFA/NFHS novice topic areas for Affirmative – Aquaculture, Law of the Sea for Arctic Drilling, Oil drilling on OCS, Renewable Energy. There are no restrictions upon the negative type of arguments
