MSHSL Subsection 21A

Date: Friday, March 27th

 

Location: Minnewaska Area High School

 

Contestants: No double entries!

 

Cost: $20.00 per entry (a duo counts as one entry). Checks should be written to Section 6A.

 

Registrations: Registrations must be entered on SpeechWire.com by 4:00pm Monday, March 16th! (This includes names!) No adds after this deadline. We will generate the schedule by midnight Wednesday, March 18th. You need to email Chris with a list of entries with category, name, grade,title and author of piece by 4:00 p.m. Monday, March 16th as well.(clence@minnewaska.k12.mn.us) Remember you are limited to six entries per category and 52 total. Please let us know if you have any ex. readers reading poetry. Drop deadline is 4:00 p.m Friday, March 20th. (After this you will be monetarily responsible for drops.) If there are additional drops after this deadline we would appreciate knowing beforehand as rooms may need to be adjusted. Any questions about SpeechWire.com can be directed to Tim Larson at

Timers: Please provide one timer for every 6.5 contestants. Please include in your registration the number of timers you plan on bringing.

 

Rules: We will be following all MSHSL rules! Please be sure you have reviewed these and explained them to your students as well.

 

Awards: Medals will be given to the top six students/entries in each category. Team trophies will be awarded to the top two schools.

 

Concessions: There will be concessions available in the cafeteria area. We ask that all food and drink be consumed there. Snack food will be provided for all coaches.

 

Please note: Team registration will be outside the district office. The student commons will be located in the cafeteria, but please note the following: School will be in session until 1:10. I ask that you keep your students and timers in the auditorium until Minnewaska Area students have left the building.

 

To Bring: Community Standard form signed, all interp. scripts in final cut version with ISBN #/Source, updated copies of Creative, Inform & O. O. all in a labeled manila envelope. Also stop watches for timers.
